Oculus Rift - New Style of Gaming!

The Oculus Rift is an upcoming virtual reality head-mounted display. It is being developed by Oculus VR, who have raised $16 million, of which $2.4 million was raised with crowdfunding via Kickstarter. The company was founded by Palmer Luckey and the co-founders of Scaleform ,and id Software cofounder John Carmack was later hired as its Chief Technology Officer. Developer kits are in the process of being shipped out.

Here some video to know more about Oculus Rift :

Oculus CEO Brandon Iribe recently spoke to Edge Online about getting the device to market. By all accounts, the Oculus does indeed deliver something of an impressive VR experience, enough to secure an addition $16 million in funding outside of its original Kickstarter which raised $2.4M. Iribe talked about the price they’re shooting for when the device is finally released to the public.
“The lower the price point, the wider the audience,” he said. “We have all kinds of fantasy ideas. We’d love it to be free one day, so how do we get it as close to free as possible? Obviously it won’t be that in the beginning. We’re targeting the $300 price point right now but there’s the potential that it could get much less expensive with a few different relationships and strategies.”
$300 seems like a reasonable goal for the price of the device, and one that I believe many would pay for the best publicly consumable virtual reality experience in existence. Free, on the other hand? That’s a more lofty proposition, even with the “subsides” that Iribe mentions. He doesn’t detail exactly what sort of relationships he thinks he can forge that would lower the price that drastically, but it doesn’t hurt to try, I suppose.

**Also, there's been a scoop from EuroGamer that Sony had started to step into the VR arena, as there's been a significant development on a PS4 VR headset. Oculus CEO, Palmer Luckey has previously claimed to welcome the competition from the likes of Microsoft and Sony as it would "validate the market".

Plant Vs Zombies 2 Has Arrived!

When Plants Vs Zombies was released in 2009, it was an instant and long-running hit. As games go, this is what’s categorised as in the Tower Defence genre where enemies relentlessly attack your home, castle or tower.

So finally – FINALLY – the sequel appeared on the iPhone and iPad App Stores a few days ago. Echoing the thoughts of many gamers, the subtitle to Plants Vs Zombies 2 is “It’s About Time”. Unlike the first title, this one is free, but PopCap’s coffers will likely be replenished thanks to the numerous in-app purchases available.

After more than four long years, the sequel to the Plants vs Zombies is finally released.

The plot meaning of “It’s About Time” is that Crazy Dave, the frankly nutso neighbour from the first game is transported back in time to find his missing taco by a time-travelling camper van. I think I’ve got that right. Anyway, it means that the modern day lawn is replaced in turn by stones outside a pharaoh’s tomb, the deck of a pirate ship and the Wild West.

Each location has its own special zombies – a walking sarcophagus with a mummified creature inside, a honky-tonk player who causes the zombies to swap lanes, and a pirate who is carried aloft by a seagull, for instance.

And there’s more variety thanks to levels where the game assigns which plants you can use, or sets challenges such as not having more than 10 plants at a time or keeping the zombies from trampling the flowers.

Sometimes the challenge is too great but the joy is you can play each level until you make it through, or resort to those special powers if you really can’t.

A futuristic world is in the offing, which will be handy when you’ve exhausted the current ones but there are plenty of these. And repeat playing of individual levels can be satisfying. For instance, a yeti (wearing a fez) occasionally materialises somewhere in the game and if you defeat him, there’s a prize.
But it’s the core gaming which is the most compelling and it’s absolutely as addictive as ever. It looks great, is finely tuned to keep you from giving up and has enough novelty features to delight players for a long time.

South Korea 'First Toilet Theme Park'

From it's bowl shaped exhibition hall to the bronze figures, immortalized in mid squat - outside, everything about this theme park in South Korea points toward the smallest room in the house.

Officially opened early this year, the facility in the city of Suwon is reputed to be the first in the world to what happens when we answer the call of nature.

Quirkier exhibits include WC from all around the world and toilet-theme works of art, while visitors can remind themselves of their day perusing poop with appropriate shaped souvenirs.

The museum offers a very educational experiences as it explains the history of toilet and provide fun facts about human waste. The museum was a former home of the Suwon's Mayor, Sim Jae-duck. He was the inspiration of the theme park and he was called "Mr. Toilet". He died in 2009, but he spent his life campaigning for better toilets in the state. Those who visit the museum have the opportunity to use his original toilet, which include a full-length glass door that fogs up when being used.

While they not match with British obsession with scatological humour, the park popularity suggest that Koreans are less embarassed when it comes to celebrating the toilet and its central role in daily life.

The facility has a serious message; several exhibits are tend to raise awareness of public toilets and sanitation in the developing world.

Best Invention of 2012 : Introducing Google Glass

Google Glass : Best Invention Of The Year 2012

GOOGLE GLASS! Glass is,simply put,a computer built into the frame of a pair of glasses, and it's the device that will make augmented reality partof our daily lives. With the half inch (1.3 cm) display, which comes into focus when you look up and to the right, users will be able to take and share photos, video chat, check appointments and access map and the Web.Consumers should be able to buy Google Glass by 2014 at estimated price of $1,500 USD.

Google's own Project Glass is a research project taking place in Google X Lab, and it's championed by Google co-founder and Sergey Brin. The goal of the project appears to be the development of a mobile computer that you wear like or on eyeglasses, and which you can use without your hands. Google Glass gives you data in just one eye, and you control it mostly with your voice, or with eye movements.

The advantage of the Google Glass system is that you no longer need to toggle between paying attention to a mobile device and paying attention to reality. You get reality, but with benefits -- namely, information and instant interaction.A camera on the front could let you take pictures with eye movements or voice commands, and also provide input.

What's the Smart Glasses Opportunity?
Juniper Research boldly predicts that the "wearable" computing market will be worth more than $1.5 billion by 2014 (it's worth $800 million this year).
The category includes sci-fi projects like Google Glass and other smart glasses, as well as things like "quantified life" type applications and even the fitness tracker type gadgets already on the market.
I'm absolutely certain that smart glasses will be a huge hit over the next decade for vertical applications, including military, medical, industrial and other areas.

Why Consumers May Reject Google Glasses

1. You're aiming a camera at people.
When people wear these devices all the time, you can't know if they're filming you or taking your picture. If you don't agree that this could make people nervous, try aiming your camera phone at people while you're talking to them. It's going to be socially awkward.
Gadget makers may add a light that tells you when the cameras are running, but you're still aiming a camera and people can't be sure.

2. You're going to look like a geek.
Wearing smart glasses will be akin to riding a Segway -- cool technology, but viewed by the public as something dorky.
There's nothing wrong with Geeks, of course. I'm a geek myself, and don't mind looking like one, as my kids would be happy to tell you.
But geeks are a minority, and we're talking about the larger consumer marketplace.

3. One-eyed displays are psychologically uncomfortable.
When you beam a display into one eye, but not both eyes, the effect is subtly disturbing -- like 3D glasses.
There are some people who don't mind 3D glasses and others who do. For the most part, however, 3D TV technology has been largely rejected by consumers for that reason.
Yes, companies are selling a lot of 3D-capable TVs. But are people watching in 3D? Generally speaking, most consumers choose 2D over 3D because sending different messages to each eye is profoundly unnatural and unsettling.

How Spiritual Life Can Affect Your Life

The human race is plagued by many sicknesses, with an apparently higher number towards these recent times than ever. For instance, cancer which used to be an occasional disease many generations ago but now the number of people suffered from cancer is growing rapidly.Interestingly, in the midst of all the medical advancement in terms of cures and medication, some people have turned  to look into the spiritual side of things to deal with diseases, especially  the  serious cases.

Does spirituality really affect one’s physical health? Or it only acts as a comfort zone for those who are already struggling physically and lose hope? Scientists have actually performed several studies to look into the effects of having an active spiritual life on one’s physical health, and here are the top findings.

People who believe in God find it easier to believe for a miraculous healing, compared to those who do not believe in any deity. For example, a person who believes in the Islam will find hope when he reads things in Al-Quran that describe how his sickness will be lessen when a muslim visited him when he was sick. This gives him a visual picture to believe that he can indeed be healed. People may find it weird or crazy, but for them, it alleviates their emotional pain and will actually eventually have an effect on their health.

The issue of condemnation is usually dealt with when a person comes to terms with spirituality. Inside every human being is the knowledge that he has done wrong and he needs to pay. When someone explores his spirituality and finds that he is already forgiven by God because God Himself made a way to provide forgiveness, he is released from the feeling of guilt and shame, setting him free from ailments caused by these negative feelings. The result may usually be gradual, as his spirituality takes effect first on his emotions and finally on his physical health.

These are just the main ways in which a spiritual life can eventually affect one’s physical health. Of course, it still depends on the person, as nobody can insist his views upon another. It is only by personal revelation that things like spirituality can be accepted and believed in a person.

How To Clean Your Room

Cleaning your room can be a big job. Some rooms are so messy you don't know where to start, and you have to be asked over and over again to do it. Some people are naturally good at keeping their room clean, while others need to be told over and over again. Well, here are some helpful hints and tips on how to clean your room.

First, open all of your curtains or blinds and, if appropriate, the windows themselves to let some light and fresh air in. If you're cleaning at night, just turn on all of the lights. This will allow you to see everything and fasten your cleaning process. If you have a ceiling fan, turn it on. There's a good chance you'll work up a sweat.

Remove all big stuff out of your room during the cleaning. That way the room looks more tidy and easy to clean up. Put everything in your room that you need to put away in a big pile on your bed or in the middle of the floor. As you're building up your pile, set any dirty clothes aside in a separate pile.

Fold or hang your clean clothes and put them away, while throwing the dirty ones in the laundry pile. Organize your closet and dressers. Close all drawers and doors, make sure nothing is sticking out.

Sweep out everything from under the bed and dressers. You may be surprised to find just how much junk has accumulated there, much of which is probably stuff you thought you'd lost or may have simply forgotten about. Separate all of it into three piles: One is trash, the second is give away, and the third is things that should stay in your room.

Gather the trash and throw it away. Keeping a garbage bag in the room will help. Pull stuff out from under and behind the rest of your furniture like desks, dressers, end tables, nightstands or bookshelves. Your only concern right now should be trash so don't put anything else away, and don't start arranging your room quite yet.

Clean all surfaces with cleaner. Wipe your mirrors and windows. If you put your stuff in your bed vacuum your carpet. If you don't have carpet, then sweep the floor clean with a broom. Spray the room with air spray.

If you find things that need to be put in another room (like dishes that belong in the kitchen) grab a laundry basket or box and put those items in there. When you're done putting everything away that belongs in your room, you can go and put the rest of the things away that belong in other rooms. Individually taking the items to their spots in other parts of the house is a big waste of time.

Next is your bed. Strip it bare. Take off all the bedding and use this opportunity to rotate the mattress. Flipping over your mattress not only increases its lifespan, but it will also feel great to sleep on the under-used side. Now, get out some fresh bedding and change the sheets. Then, finally make your bed. An unmade bed will make any room look messy by itself.

Clean up your desk, organizing and dusting as you go along. Stack your books and magazines neatly, even those on the floor. Stack the by height, biggest on the bottom shortest on the top. Organize your bookshelf if you have one. Dust the books and the shelf surfaces with a feather duster or a moist cloth. Label your shelf with different kinds of books.
Straighten or organize anything else that needs attention. Look around your room and see if there are any spots remaining that look messy. Now is the time to untangle your jewellery, put pairs of shoes together neatly, re-arrange your picture frames, and so on. Focus on the finishing touches.

If your room this tidy, your life will be more relax!
Wipe all surfaces with a cloth or paper towel and an appropriate cleanser. Don't forget door knobs, mirrors and windows. If you have a ceiling fan, turn it off and dust it thoroughly with a damp cloth. Spray on furniture cleaner.

Remember all that rubbish you put in your bin? Well, now is the time to empty it. Now empty your laundry basket. Spray your favorite air freshener or place some bags of dried lavender or potpourri in your room.

Now, your room is clean and tidy! Compared to your room before ,the new one is much better in any aspect, doesn’t it? So, train yourself to clean your room regularly so that you won’t need to put a lot of hard work and time just for cleaning your room!
